ORIGINAL MUSIC COMPOSITIONS

I began making recordings as a burnout teen back in the eighties, using portable cassette recorders and, eventually, a cheap four-track recorder. None of those creations exist any longer.

In the mid-nineties, I had a Roland Guitar Synthesizer that had digital banks that held some recordings. I filled them up and dragged them around until 2006, when I sold the synth. None of these creations exist any longer.

In the late nineties, I began to create songs using onboard PC soundbanks, but that music was dependent on the specific computer they were designed for and disappeared along with the computer. None of these creations exist any longer.

In 2009, I discovered that I had a demo version of Ableton 4 included with some purchase I’d made. Limited to eight tracks, I was able to craft some thin keepers, output as WAV and MP3 files. Many of these do remain with me.

In 2012, I bit the bullet and spent the $650 for the full suite of Ableton Live 8. From that point forward, I’ve been able to develop music with unlimited tracks and the results were duly significantly improved.

In 2018. I made my final recording after purchasing a legitimate Gretsch hollow-body guitar. So it’s been a little while since I’ve steeped myself in perhaps that which is the favorite of my many hobbies and interests. I am now settled down and have everything in its right place. The time is at hand to begin composing and recording once again.
